Job Description: Data Analyst at Insight Global

Insight Global is hiring data analysts to join the Gas Transmission Projects team at one of the largest utility companies in the Northeast. This is a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity based on a hybrid schedule in the Bronx.

The data analyst will be responsible for tracking and monitoring Gas Transmission data entries into the GasIQ system. Additional responsibilities include reviewing, processing, and developing reports, supporting the Gas Transmission Project & Maintenance team, and creating a central repository for welding specifications and related data, ensuring quality control and oversight. The analyst will collaborate with internal teams to adjust strategies based on data quality, coordinate with Major Projects and Transmission Maintenance groups, and maintain tracking of scheduled field activities. They will also work with vendors on application enhancements, interpret company and departmental specifications, identify process automation opportunities, and perform other related tasks as needed.

To succeed in this role, candidates should be self-starters capable of applying company and departmental specifications and regulations, team players with excellent communication skills.

Required Skills and Experience

• 2+ years of experience as a data analyst performing data cleaning, verification, visualization, and mining
• Highly analytical with the ability to evaluate risks and trends
• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, or equivalent
• Strong experience with visualization/business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Oracle BI, and/or Excel
