As a Data Management Specialist at Galls you will support the organization in total. You will work with product categories and/or suppliers under the direction of the Merchandising Operations Manager to drive positive vendor relations to include item setup, item maintenance, pricing and item/order troubleshooting.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Item additions including, but not limited to: new products, special orders and contract/bid products


• Data management and maintenance including, but not limited to: stock/drop ship status, order/item cancellations, category assignments


• Process and execute vendor item/price changes for management approval


• Uploading of approved price and vendor changes


• Assist the team with vendor communications, paperwork, obtaining data - to include follow up


• Assist the team with technical questions for customer service, retail and sales teams


• Collaborate with internal departments (i.e. sales, inventory management, marketing, contract management, customer service) to ensure customer needs are met


• Troubleshoot and resolve system maintenance opportunities to include concerns with item setup, coding, VAS details and kit maintenance and associations


• Compile reports as required


• Assist in the coordination of product samples for inventory and/or customer approvals


• Contribute to cross training within the Uniform Service Specialist for back up as needed


• Contribute in all necessary areas of integrations (i.e. vendors, items, inventory)


• Other duties as may be assigned to support business needs

WHAT YOU BRING

• Prior experience in merchandising, category management, and/or similar field preferred


• Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities with conflicting deadlines


• Resourcefulness (you may not always have the answers, but you know where to find them)


• Solid communication and interpersonal skills (you're comfortable talking to internal and external partners)


• Technically savvy - proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint


• An investigative approach to problem solving - you're not one to just scratch the surface; you care to get to the root-cause of issues and come up with long-term solutions
