Provider Data Management Specialist (remote)

This is a remote position open to any qualified applicant in the United States.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Provider Data Management Specialist with 2 to 3 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate should have strong technical skills in MS Excel and preferably experience in Re-credentialing and Credentialing Application Processing. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on healthcare processes.

Summary:

  • Reviewing available Provider data for the pending info and accuracy
  • Data entry of the pending info into Client systems and update any incorrect details
  • A strong understanding of Healthcare concepts
  • Proficiency in computer skills including typing speed and accuracy
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality of medical information
  • Knowledge of data entry and transcription

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and process healthcare credentialing applications efficiently
  • Utilize MS Excel to maintain and analyze data related to credentialing processes
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of all credentialing documentation
  • Coordinate with healthcare providers to obtain necessary information and documentation
  • Track and follow up on pending credentialing applications to ensure timely completion
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of credentialing requirements and regulations
  • Provide support to the credentialing team in day-to-day operations
  • Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Prepare and present reports on credentialing activities and status
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures
  • Contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the credentialing process
  • Support the team in achieving departmental goals and objectives

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED - Required
  • Possess strong technical skills in MS Excel
  • Have experience in Re-credentialing and Credentialing Application Processing (nice to have)
  • Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Show ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Display a proactive approach to problem-solving

Salary and Other Compensation:

The hourly rate for this position is between $16.00 – 19.00 per hour, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
