Job summary

Aertron, Inc. is seeking a Data Lead to own the data backbone of an FAA evaluation of micro-weather sensing and forecasting technologies for Advanced Air Mobility environments. The role is remote within the U.S.

with periodic travel to Fort Worth, TX, and designated test sites. You will design the data architecture, build and operate pipelines, and lead analyses spanning data from deployed sensors to final evaluation conclusions.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 8+ years of hands-on experience spanning data architecture, data engineering, and applied data science.
• Proven experience designing data architectures and building production pipelines for multi-source ingestion, validation, and integration.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end data backbone of the evaluation, spanning architecture, pipelines, and analysis.
• Design workflows ensuring traceability, consistency, and reproducibility across geographic deployment sites.
• Lead evaluation methodologies, performance metrics, and defensible reporting for FAA-related assessments.
• Verify end-to-end data flow during readiness assessments and dry runs at deployment sites.
• Maintain traceability between data sources, metrics, outputs, and conclusions.
