Job summary

Dow Inc. is seeking a Data Governance Analyst (Business Process Specialist) to support enterprise governance, improve data quality, and maintain governance artifacts across business domains. You will work with business and technical teams to ensure consistency, usability, and accurate metadata for enterprise data assets.

The role focuses on governance processes, documentation, and collaboration, with a strong emphasis on data quality and stewardship to enable trusted data across Dow’s operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant military experience at or above U.S. E5 or Canadian rank, or 5 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• 2+ years of data governance, data management, analytics, or related field.
• Foundational governance concepts, metadata, and data quality management.
• Experience working with business and technical stakeholders on data efforts.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem solving.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• U.S. work authorization; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Execute established data governance processes and controls.
• Support enterprise governance initiatives and deliverables.
• Apply governance methodologies, templates, and best practices.
• Create and update business and technical metadata, glossary, and data catalog content.
• Document data ownership, stewardship assignments, and data lineage.
• Maintain governance repositories and standards documentation.
• Perform data quality assessments and validation.
• Monitor data quality metrics and identify issues; support remediation.
• Partner with Data Governance Managers to capture knowledge and requirements.
• Prepare governance documentation and recommendations for review and approval.
• Populate and maintain enterprise data catalogs and governance platforms.
• Support data classification and ownership alignment across assets.
• Maintain metadata for governed data assets; support training and awareness.
