Job summary

Dow is seeking a Data Governance Analyst-style role, described as a Data Governance Analyst, to support enterprise governance practices. You will maintain governance artifacts, improve data quality, document metadata, support stewardship, and ensure standards are applied across business domains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or military experience equivalent to US E5 or Canadian rank OR 5 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in data governance, data management, analytics, or related field.
• Foundational understanding of governance concepts, metadata, and data quality management.
• Experience working with business and technical stakeholders to support data-related efforts.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• U.S. based legal work eligibility; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Execute established data governance processes, policies, standards, and controls.
• Support enterprise governance initiatives through governance activities and deliverables.
• Create, maintain, and update business metadata, technical metadata, glossary entries, and data catalog content.
• Document data ownership information, stewardship assignments, and data lineage.
• Maintain governance repositories, standards documentation, and supporting materials.
• Perform data quality assessments and validation activities.
• Monitor data quality metrics and identify data issues; support remediation.
