Job summary

Eide Bailly seeks a Data Governance Manager to lead enterprise governance across data assets, platforms, and security. You will implement policies, manage metadata, and promote governance adoption with Data Owners and Stewards.

The role requires strong collaboration skills, familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and Azure Data Services, and a focus on zero trust and data protection. Remote/hybrid options available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 6+ years of progressive experience in data governance, analytics, security, or platform administration.
• Experience administering analytics platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Synapse, or Azure Data Services.
• Experience managing data governance, security, access controls, and platform administration with independence.
• SQL, Python, or similar technical skills preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, OneLake, workspace administration, security roles, and capacity management.
• Knowledge of metadata management, business glossaries, lineage, stewardship, and data catalog administration.
• Experience with SharePoint and secure management of unstructured content.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, Azure security administration, service principals, and privileged access management.

Responsibilities

• Executing and monitoring enterprise data governance policies across the data and analytics ecosystem.
• Administering and maintaining the data governance platform, including metadata, glossaries, lineage, and retention policies.
• Partnering with Data Owners and Data Stewards to promote governance adoption across the organization.
• Facilitating creation and maintenance of data products, governance documentation, and workflows.
• Serving as Microsoft Fabric Tenant Administrator and overseeing platform governance standards.
• Monitoring data access patterns and guiding on data management, security, and governance best practices.
• Collaborating with IT Security on data classification, DLP, and related controls.
• Managing enterprise data access, security, and IAM controls (OneLake, RBAC, service principals).
• Conducting access reviews and governance audits for zero trust and least privilege compliance.
• Monitoring telemetry, audit logs, governance metrics, and compliance indicators for continuous improvement.
• Supporting governance maturity initiatives, roadmaps, and cross-functional governance councils.
• Escalating complex governance or security issues and coordinating cross-functional responses.
• Supporting governance standards for AI-enabled solutions and automation.
