Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Review large volumes of documents across Microsoft 365 apps, PDFs, and formats.
• Identify and redact proprietary, confidential, or sensitive information per policies.
• Validate redactions for completeness and accuracy; perform QA reviews.
• Identify, track, and remediate sensitive data artifacts and exceptions.
• Maintain logs, audit trails, and documentation for reviews and compliance.
• Use advanced Excel formulas to support data matching and inventory management.
• Analyze large data sets to detect patterns, gaps, and issues.
• Work with data governance, risk, and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with business, technology, cybersecurity, legal, and risk partners.

Job title: Data Governance Analyst

Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid)

Job Type: 12 Months Contract

Rate: $53/hr - $56/hr

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Redaction Specialist to support a large-scale data remediation initiative. In this role, you will review high volumes of files, identify and remove proprietary or sensitive information, and maintain complete documentation. Success in this position requires sound judgment, strong analytical skills, proficiency with document and data tools, and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across business and control functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Review large volumes of documents across Microsoft 365 applications, PDFs, and other common file formats.
• Identify and redact proprietary, confidential, or sensitive information in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Validate redactions for completeness, accuracy, and consistency, and perform quality-control reviews.
• Identify, track, and remediate sensitive data artifacts and exceptions.
• Maintain accurate logs, audit trails, and supporting documentation for review, compliance, and final approval.
• Use advanced Microsoft Excel formulas or other approved tools to support data matching and inventory management.
• Analyze large data sets and file populations to detect patterns, gaps, and potential processing issues.
• Perform work in alignment with data governance, information-handling, risk, and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with business, technology, cybersecurity, legal, compliance, and risk partners.

Required Qualifications

Experience: 4+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience. This may be demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, or education. Experience reviewing and redacting documents in a corporate, legal, regulatory, risk, compliance, or data-governance environment is also required.

Technical Skills: A strong understanding of different file types, such as MS Access, MS Visio, Word, MS Excel, and Adobe is necessary. This includes proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills for formulas, data matching, and large data-set analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

• An understanding of risk foundations.
• Cybersecurity experience.
