Job summary

• 12+ years in data architecture or related technology roles.
• 7+ years designing enterprise-scale data platforms.
• Proven experience architecting large-scale solutions utilizing Hadoop, Oracle, and cloud technologies. Experience leading enterprise modernization and migration initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the enterprise architecture roadmap aligned with business and technology strategies.
• Establish and ensure adherence to architectural standards, principles, and best practices.
• Design scalable architectures for data ingestion, processing, storage, integration, and consumption.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that improve efficiency and business outcomes.
• Design migration and modernization initiatives involving legacy platforms, Oracle databases, and Hadoop ecosystems.
• Design and optimize enterprise data lakes, data warehouses, and analytical platforms.
• Provide strategic direction for cloud adoption and hybrid architectures.
• Develop long-term strategies for platform consolidation and cost optimization.
• Promote reusable frameworks and standardized integration patterns.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to implement scalable data pipelines.
• Ensure data architectures comply with regulatory, risk, privacy, and security requirements.
• Partner with data governance organizations to define metadata, lineage, and data quality standards.

Senior Data Architect

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Architect to lead the design, evolution, and modernization of enterprise data platforms and architectures for Global Regulatory Reporting. This role is responsible for defining strategic architecture, establishing technology standards, and driving scalable solutions across on-premise and cloud ecosystems. The Senior Architect will partner with business leaders, technology teams, data engineers, and governance organizations to ensure compliance with global enterprise strategy.

Required Qualifications

Experience: 12+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or related technology roles. 7+ years of experience designing enterprise-scale data platforms. Proven experience architecting large-scale solutions utilizing Hadoop, Oracle, and cloud technologies. Experience leading enterprise modernization and migration initiatives.

Technical Skills

• Hadoop Ecosystem (Spark, Hive, HDFS, Kafka)
• Data Lakes and Data Warehouses
• Oracle, SQL Server
• AWS, Cloud-native data services, Containerization technologies
• ETL/ELT frameworks, Data orchestration tools, API-based integrations
• SQL, Python, Scala or Java, Shell scripting

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with data governance platforms such as Collibra.
• Experience with modern query engines such as Starburst or Trino.
• Financial Services, Regulatory Reporting, or Banking experience.
• Cloud certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Data Analytics).
• TOGAF or comparable architecture certifications.

Work Environment

This role requires a hybrid schedule with a minimum of 3 days per week onsite.
