Job summary

New York State Homes and Community Renewal (HCR) is seeking a Data Analyst to support data analysis, visualization, and reporting for the Office of Resilient Homes and Communities. The role focuses on GIS-based spatial analysis, data integrity, and program quality across the agency.

Reporting to the Director of Research and Data, you will maintain spatial and quantitative databases, update DRGR, and produce dashboards and maps.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Urban Planning, Public Policy, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing, updating, and maintaining performance reports, dashboards, and ad hoc data analyses.
  • Maintain ArcGIS software/ArcGIS Online platforms and create maps/graphs for stakeholders.
  • Input, track, and verify program data across internal systems and the DRGR system.
  • Document data methodologies and SOPs, perform routine data cleaning and quality control.
  • Provide analytical support for projects evaluating impact of RHC programs.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to share and package data for reporting.
