Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build and deploy data solutions that empower AI and analytics across the enterprise. You will translate insights from data into scalable pipelines and collaborate with teams to enable data-driven decisions.

Ideal candidates bring a strong background in data engineering, Gen AI concepts, and full-stack design with a track record of delivering complex data products in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, related STEM field, or its equivalent in education and/or work experience.
• 4 additional years of data engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of Gen AI concepts (Agentic Frameworks, RAG, LLM, Chunking, Hyper-parameters).
• Proven experience as a Full Stack Designer/architect with focus on data engineering and Gen AI applications.
• Proficiency in Python and modern software engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Build and operationalize complex data solutions, apply transformations and data cleansing/quality improvements.
• Design complex data solutions to support analytics and AI initiatives.
• Analyze and evaluate complex data sources to determine value and inclusion in analyses.
• Incorporate data governance, security and quality into data products.
• Collaborate across teams to support delivery and educate users on data products.
