Job summary

Travelers is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to build and operationalize data solutions across the enterprise. You will translate data stories into scalable pipelines that support AI, ML, and BI initiatives.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver complex data products, ensure data quality, and advocate best practices in data governance and security. This role sits in the Data Engineering team and requires strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related STEM field plus 4 years of data engineering experience.
• Eight years of relevant experience.
• Experience with ETL pipelines using AWS, dbt or similar tools.
• Knowledge of AWS cloud services and data architecture (S3, IAM, Lambda, CloudWatch).

Responsibilities

• Build and operationalize complex data solutions, correct problems, apply transformations, and recommend data cleansing/quality solutions.
• Design complex data solutions.
• Perform analysis of complex sources to determine value and use and recommend data to include in analytical processes.
• Incorporate data governance, data security and data quality principles.
