Travelers Data Engineering team is seeking a seasoned Data Engineer to grow and transform our analytics landscape. You will design, build and deploy data solutions supporting AI, ML and business intelligence while collaborating with cross-functional partners.

The ideal candidate brings extensive data engineering experience, strong Python/SQL/Databricks skills, and familiarity with AWS. You will lead technical teams, deliver incremental data products, and ensure data quality and governance across

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a STEM field or equivalent.
• Eight years of related data engineering experience.
• Hands-on Python, SQL and Databricks expertise.
• Experience in AWS environment preferred.
• Governs ETL tools such as Ab Initio or Informatica.
• Experience leading technical teams is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and operationalize complex data solutions and data cleansing.
• Design complex data solutions and assess data value for analytics.
• Analyze complex data sources to determine usage and inclusion.
• Enforce data governance, security and quality across platforms.
• Collaborate across teams to educate end users on data products.
• Perform data movement testing and resolve defects.
• Troubleshoot data pipelines and incidents as needed.
• Take on additional duties as assigned.
