Job summary

WEX is seeking a Software Development Engineer 2 focused on Data Engineering & Data Architecture to own data pipelines powering the Customer Data Platform (CDP). You will design scalable Snowflake models using dbt, integrate data from Siebel CRM and EDW snapshots, and ensure accurate downstream segmentation and journeys.

The role emphasizes architecture decisions, governance, and collaboration with engineering, analytics, product, and business stakeholders to deliver a single source of truth.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of professional experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or a data-focused software role.
• Snowflake proficiency with scalable data models and staging environments.
• dbt: manage projects, testing, documentation, and source-control-driven pipelines.
• Preferred experience with Salesforce Data360/DataCloud ingestion and orchestration patterns.
• CI/CD automation experience and data quality gates.
• Strong problem-solving to translate business constraints into concrete data queries.

Responsibilities

• Own the data pipelines and modeling powering the Customer Data Platform (CDP).
• Design and build scalable Snowflake data models and staging environments.
• Integrate data from multiple source systems into the CDP.
• Lead feature-level architecture decisions and document ADRs.
• Mentor Level 1 engineers through pairing and knowledge-sharing.
