Job summary

WEX in Boston is seeking a Software Development Engineer 2 focused on Data Engineering & Data Architecture to own CDP data pipelines and modeling feeding segmentation and customer journeys.

You will design scalable Snowflake models with dbt, drive architectural decisions, and collaborate across engineering, analytics, product, and business teams to ensure a single source of truth, strong data quality, and mentorship for junior engineers.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional data engineering or data warehousing experience.
• Strong Snowflake data modeling and scalable pipeline design.
• Hands-on dbt project experience with testing and documentation.
• Familiarity with Salesforce Data360 / DataCloud ingestion and mapping.
• CI/CD automation and DevOps practices in data pipelines.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Own data pipelines and CDP data models powering customer segmentation and journeys.
• Design robust Snowflake data models from staging to production marts.
• Lead architectural decisions and ADRs for data projects.
• Collaborate with engineering, analytics, product, and business teams to align definitions.
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and knowledge sharing.
