Job summary

WEX Inc. is seeking a Software Development Engineer 2 focused on Data Engineering & Data Architecture. You will own data pipelines and modeling powering the Customer Data Platform, feeding marketing segmentation and journeys.

Expect independent ownership of modules and data models with minimal oversight. Responsibilities include designing robust data models in Snowflake, managing data ingestion from Siebel/EDW-like sources, and collaborating across engineering and analytics to align business

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or a software role focusing on data.
• Proven ability to independently design and build scalable data models and staging areas in Snowflake.
• Hands-on dbt projects with testing, documentation, and source-control driven pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable data models in Snowflake using dbt across staging to production data marts.
• Collaborate with analytics, product, and engineering to align data definitions and business logic.
• Lead data quality and automated regression checks to ensure data reliability and governance.
