Job summary

SMX is seeking a Data Science Consultant to support our Army Client. You will design new data solutions using Databricks and Palantir Foundry to meet business requirements and build data models from ERP and legacy systems.

You will coordinate with stakeholders to translate reporting needs into technical specifications, define test cases, and verify results. A Bachelor's degree and an Active Secret Clearance are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on development experience.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and PySpark.
• Experience in data engineering, data science, and data analytics.
• Familiarity with Databricks.
• Experience with database design and both relational and non-relational databases.
• Ability to work cross-functionally.
• Knowledge of cloud architecture (AWS/Azure).
• Experience with software engineering tools and processes.
• Proven ability to work independently.
• Proven experience sharing knowledge (code reviews, documentation).
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE/EE.
• Active Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design new solutions using Databricks (SQL, Python, PySpark) and Palantir Foundry to meet business requirements.
• Design modifications to existing data model solutions as needed.
• Define test cases and verify results to ensure solutions function as designed.
• Build data models and reports using datasets from ERPs and legacy systems.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and users to determine reporting requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
