Job summary
SMX is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our team to support a Federal customer with a Modernized Data Science Platform. You will lead data engineering efforts, design scalable data pipelines, and deliver analytics solutions using Palantir Foundry, Databricks, or similar platforms in a DoD environment.
The ideal candidate has 10 years of hands-on experience, strong Python/PySpark skills, and expertise in DevOps and CI/CD practices, with onsite work at the Crystal City Taylor Building
Qualifications
- Security clearance: U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance required.
- Onsite work: Taylor Building in Crystal City 2 days per week.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 10 years of related work experience.
- Hands-on with Palantir Foundry and Databricks.
- Proficiency in Python and PySpark and CI/CD with GitLab.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of junior developers in delivering client-required capabilities.
- Design and build data solutions using Palantir Foundry, Databricks, or similar platforms.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize production data pipelines, models, reports, and analytics.
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Work with ERP/Data sources and existing platform data models.
