Job summary

SMX seeks a Data Science Consultant to support our Army Client in Tallahassee, FL. You will design solutions using Databricks (SQL, Python, PySpark) and Palantir Foundry to meet business requirements.

You will also modify data models, define test cases, build data models and reports from ERP and legacy data, and coordinate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical specs. Active Secret Clearance required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands on development experience.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python and Pyspark.
• Experience in data engineering, data science and data analytics.
• Familiarity with Databricks and Palantir Foundry.
• Knowledge of cloud architecture (AWS/Azure).
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and document work.

Responsibilities

• Design new solutions using Databricks (SQL, Python, Pyspark) and Palantir Foundry to meet business functional requirements.
• Design modifications to existing data model solutions as needed.
• Define test cases and verify test results to ensure solutions are functioning as designed.
• Build data models and reports using datasets from ERPs and legacy systems.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and users to determine reporting requirements and convert business requirements into technical specifications.
