Zusammenfassung

SMX is seeking a Data Science Consultant to support our Army Client. You will design new data solutions using Databricks and Palantir Foundry, modify data models, define test cases, and build reports from ERP data.

You will work cross-functionally to translate business needs into technical specs and ensure robust solutions. The candidate will have 2+ years of hands-on development, strong SQL/Python/Pyspark skills, and familiarity with cloud architectures (AWS/Azure).

Qualifikationen

• 2+ years hands-on development experience.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python and Pyspark.
• Experience in data engineering, data science and data analytics (not a Cloud Full Stack role).
• Familiarity with Databricks.
• Familiarity with database design and architecture (relational and non-relational).
• Ability to work cross-functionally and participate in discussions.
• Knowledge of cloud architecture: AWS/Azure.
• Competence with software engineering tools and processes (estimation, issue tracking, version control, debugging).
• Proven ability to work independently on assigned tasks without supervision.
• Proven experience in knowledge sharing (code reviews, solid documentation).
• Driven, self-directed personality.
• Strong sense of mission and commitment to making a difference.
• Active Secret Clearance.

Aufgaben

• Design new solutions using Databricks (SQL, Python, Pyspark) and Palantir Foundry to meet business requirements.
• Design modifications to existing data model solutions as needed.
• Define test cases and verify test results to ensure solutions function as designed.
• Build data models and reports using datasets from ERP and legacy systems.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to determine reporting requirements and convert business requirements into technical specifications.
