Job summary

Mars Veterinary Division is seeking a Field Based Veterinary District Sales Manager to drive the Vet BU strategy across the Traverse City, MI territory. You will manage relationships with clinic decision-makers, translate data into opportunities, and execute a territory business plan while meeting sales goals.

Occasional overnight travel is required, with 20-30% travel and a company vehicle benefit. The role emphasizes strong communication, presentation skills, and field-based accountability

Qualifications

• 2+ years sales experience, preferably B2B.
• Veterinary clinic experience preferred.
• Excellent communication & presentation skills (oral and written).
• Possession of a driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Overnight travel required, occasional weekends; approximately 20-30%+ travel.

Responsibilities

• Translate knowledge of products, categories, customer, and clinic data into business opportunities.
• Develop and execute a territory business plan by understanding clinic operational needs and growing clinics within the geography.
• Establish and grow relationships with clinic decision-makers within the territory.
• Develop and deliver data-driven presentations addressing the Veterinary staff needs.
• Collaborate with Account teams, Digital Sales, Inside Accounts, and Scientific Affairs across the BU.
• Build partnerships and work with others to meet shared objectives.
• Execute the Veterinary Business Unit sales strategy.
• Manage an expense and sales budget and complete CRM & expense reports timely.
