Job summary

Arcan Capital is seeking a Property Operations Specialist to support asset management and onsite teams through precise financial execution and portfolio reporting. You will own property-level data, ensure accuracy, and drive actionable insights that connect strategy to on-site performance.

This role requires disciplined processes, advanced Excel and Yardi skills, strong analytical ability, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities while communicating clearly with cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, Business Analytics, or related field.
• Experience in property operations, asset management support, accounting, or financial reporting.
• Strong analytical, financial, and operational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; working knowledge of Word and Outlook.
• Experience with Yardi preferred.
• Ability to travel regionally within the Southeastern U.S.

Responsibilities

• Support AP/AR workflows including invoice review, deposits, ledger corrections, utilities processing, write-offs, and maintaining resident accounts.
• Assist with delinquency tracking, renewals, and eviction coordination in partnership with onsite teams.
• Maintain accurate and timely records within Yardi and related property management systems.
• Prepare and distribute weekly and monthly operational and financial reports.
• Support financial reviews, including variance analysis, accruals, and reclasses.
• Monitor property performance metrics and identify trends or inconsistencies.
• Assist with acquisitions, onboarding processes, and ad-hoc reporting requests.
