Responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans aligned to current standards and reviewed by the principal.
• Use grade-appropriate, data-driven teaching strategies to teach standards to all students.
• Analyze assessment results and adjust instruction to address strengths and weaknesses.
• Participate in Professional Learning Communities at school and district levels.
• Assess students' comprehension and application of standards on a regular basis.
• Promote student mastery and significant academic growth.
• Supervise field trips, group discussions, and activities to engage learning.
• Foster cooperative social behavior through group projects and teamwork.
• Prepare for assigned classes and show evidence of preparation on request.
• Encourage students to maintain high standards of classroom behavior.
• Observe students for signs of health or emotional disturbance and monitor progress.
• Discuss student progress with parents as needed.
• Administer diagnostic tests and track student progress regularly.
• Maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Uphold district policies, school rules, and administrative regulations.
• Be available to students and parents outside instructional hours when needed.
• Represent the school and community positively.
• Report suspected abuse or neglect to the principal as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
