Job summary

Amazon is hiring a Workplace Health & Safety Specialist to lead safety programs and advocate for associates at our Chester, VA site. You’ll drive data-driven safety initiatives, conduct audits, investigate incidents, and develop training that reduces risk while keeping operations efficient.

You will partner with site leaders to embed a culture of safety, respond to emergencies, and support continuous improvement across the facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year in an EHS-related field OR a Bachelor's in EHS OR 6 months safety role at Amazon.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations specifically 29 CFR 1910.
• Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel in a professional capacity.
• Experience maintaining confidentiality in workplace security/personnel matters.

Responsibilities

• Drive comprehensive safety programs through data-driven strategies.
• Lead daily safety audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments.
• Deliver engaging safety training to associates to promote proactive safety culture.
• Foster partnerships with leadership to drive safety best practices into daily operations.
• Support emergency response and improve site safety operations.
