Job summary

United Way of Southern Nevada Inc. seeks a Manager of Community Data and Insights to lead data governance, coalition work, and dashboard development for SNV-SID. You will coordinate cross-sector partners and translate complex datasets into user-friendly visuals and AI-assisted tools.

You will drive data quality, support quarterly impact reporting, and empower teams with insights that surface funding gaps and guide community solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in public health, public policy, social sciences, data science, or a related field.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a research, data strategy, MERL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, and Learning), or evaluation-focused position.
• Experience coordinating or facilitating multi-stakeholder coalitions, advisory groups, or community working groups.
• Proven ability to execute data collection strategies, synthesize mixed-methods research, and translate raw data into visual narratives.
• Familiarity with community data ecosystems, open-data platforms, or regional indicator dashboards.
• Knowledge of human service strategies and social determinants impacting low-income populations.
• Ability to train diverse groups on data literacy and platform adoption.
• Strong writing, organization, and public speaking skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Convene and coordinate the Data Advisory Group (DAG) and Community Resiliency Coalition to set regional data governance standards and data-sharing practices.
• Research and build UWSN dashboards including Community Indicator Dashboards and Sector Funding Insights.
• Collaborate with external consultants to translate datasets into live dashboards and AI-assisted tools.
• Identify and monitor community datasets to map funding footprints and surface service gaps.
• Own SNV-SID data quality, intake, privacy checks, and de-identification before publication.
• Manage quarterly internal impact reporting using trackers and templates.
• Provide data trends to External Affairs for policy briefs and to Fund Development for donor metrics.
• Help build stakeholder capacity to use SNV-SID and embed data tracking in operations.
