Job summary

United Way of Greater Knoxville (UWGK) seeks a Data & Analytics Manager to act as the internal data advisor across departments. You will run analyses, build dashboards, and guide staff on data use to drive decisions and outcomes.

You'll partner with Directors and Program Managers to standardize metrics, improve data quality, and inform leadership and grant reporting. A strong background in analytics and data visualization is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as data analytics, statistics, information systems, or public administration.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Advanced Excel, Power Query, statistical analysis, and data modeling skills.
• Working proficiency in a statistical analysis tool such as SPSS or Python.
• Proficiency in a data visualization tool, such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Experience with CRM or financial systems (Microsoft Dynamics, Blackbaud Financial Edge, or Raiser's Edge).
• Experience with a survey/analytics platform, such as SurveyMonkey or Qualtrics.
• Familiarity with a mapping/GIS tool, such as ESRI/ArcGIS, for community-level data visualization.
• Strong knowledge of data management, quality assurance, and governance practices.
• The ability to explain complex findings clearly, in writing and in person, to all kinds of audiences.
• Strong project management skills, with a track record of managing several initiatives at once and moving data strategies from planning through implementation.
• Comfort building relationships with departments, nonprofit and community partners, government agencies, and statewide forums.

Responsibilities

• Turn data into insight by performing analyses and building dashboards for diverse audiences.
• Advise on data governance and architecture to improve accuracy and security.
• Connect departments to align metrics and reporting formats across systems.
• Support compliance and quality with CQI practices and training tools.
• Measure and report impact with leadership, Board, and funders.
• Build data literacy by teaching staff to access and interpret dashboards.
