Canoe Intelligence in New York City (hybrid) is seeking an Engineering Manager for the Data Delivery Guild to lead data extraction, validation, and delivery to clients and downstream systems. This contributing manager role blends people leadership with hands-on coding to unblock the team and shape the delivery pipelines.

You will own the data delivery systems, manage a multi‑integration backlog, collaborate with Product and senior leadership, mentor engineers, and advocate for AI-assisted

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a leadership capacity guiding engineers.
• Experience with data integration and delivery patterns.
• Experience writing code and debugging delivery issues.
• Proven ability to manage a busy backlog and communicate clearly to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers responsible for data delivery and related systems.
• Balance hands-on IC work with management duties while staying technical.
• Drive execution against the guild backlog and priorities set by Product and leadership.
• Shape how the team builds and maintains AI-assisted delivery as a productivity multiplier.
• Own proactive communication with team, other engineering groups, Product, and stakeholders.
• Keep an organized backlog across multiple integrations and channels.
• Ensure correctness of data reaching clients even with tooling acceleration.
