Description

We are currently looking for aFull Time Data Curation Specialistto join our Vital Stats and Resource Information team located at the Communications Building.

Summary

The Data Curation Specialist will work with other departments and divisions to collect and digitally curate essential and historical point-in-time information for utilization in various communication channels. The specialist will prepare periodical assessments of curated information to identify the impact of The Chickasaw Nation on the communities in which it operates. The information is also used to contribute to strategic communication initiatives. The role requires strong organizational, analytical and communication skills, along with proficiency in various software and digital platforms. A persistent focus on data integrity, accuracy and continuous improvement of the resource database is essential.

Responsibilities
  • Updates and maintains the resource database
  • Determines if information is suitable enough to be utilized for the resource database
  • Provides creative proposals for improvement of the resource database
  • Works as a team to continually improve the resource database
  • Curates large collections of digital assets
  • Assists in gathering and curating data from various sources to create in-depth reports for any number of communication channels
  • Compiles various tribal headlines report articles, tribal social media posts and tribal press releases into topic-related reports for data entry into the resource database
  • Prepares and develops communications and other impact assessments using curated information focusing on the Chickasaw Nation’s impact in communities we serve
  • Prepares the social media report weekly
  • Identifies and suggests areas of impact in curated information that should be addressed or enhanced
  • Prioritizes learning all Chickasaw Nation policies as related to image and reputation management and uphold standards which include the use of personal social media channels
  • Attends required training as determined by the line of support or the executive leadership of the Chickasaw Nation
  • Provides first class customer service to both internal and external customers and responds to inquiries, compliments, and/or complaints with professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency
  • Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities
