Job summary

Chickasaw Nation Medical Center is seeking a full-time Acute Care CNA/Clerk to join the Acute Care Team. You will provide administrative and clinical support, coordinate patient flow, maintain documentation, manage supplies, and assist with delegated clinical tasks under licensed nursing staff supervision.

You will take direction from the charge nurse and primary nurse, record vital signs, assist with hygiene and daily activities, and help ensure efficient unit operations and quality patient

Qualifications

  • High School, GED or Equivalent required.
  • Completed an approved CNA training program required.
  • 1 year directly related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains confidentiality, security, and integrity of data and information per HIPAA regulations.
  • Records care given and reports patient care observations.
  • Maintains intake and output documentation.
  • Prepares shift reports and performs CNA duties as assigned.
  • Takes direction from charge and primary nurse; records vital signs and reports abnormal results.
  • Assists patients with hygiene, meals, toileting, and mobility.
  • Lifts and turns patients; prepares rooms and cleans equipment after discharge.
  • Ensures unit coverage for meals and breaks; maintains a safe, clean environment.

Description

We are currently looking for aFull Time Acute Care CNA/Clerkto join our Acute Care Team team located at the Chickasaw Nation Medical Center.

Summary

Provides comprehensive administrative and clinical support to ensure efficient unit operations and quality patient care. Coordinates patient flow activities, maintains documentation and communication systems, manages supply inventory, and performs various clerical functions. Delivers direct patient care assistance and completes delegated clinical tasks under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.

Responsibilities
  • Maintains confidentiality, security, and integrity of data and information in accordance with HIPAA regulations
  • Records care given and reports patient care observations
  • Maintains and documents intake and output
  • Prepares shift reports
  • Performs Certified Nurse Assistant duties as assigned
  • Takes direction from charge nurse and primary nurse
  • Takes and records vital signs and reports abnormal results to the primary nurse
  • Performs finger stick blood sugars and reports to primary nurse
  • Assists patients with personal hygiene activities
  • Assists patients with meals and toileting
  • Assists patients with ambulation and bedside commode
  • Lifts and turns patients as ordered
  • Prepares room and bed for patients
  • Strips bed and cleans equipment from room upon discharge of patient
  • Responsible for cleaning dirty equipment and bedside commode after patient use
  • Ensures unit coverage for meals and breaks.
  • Maintains a safe and clean environment, and ensures adequate supplies
  • Attends periodic staff meetings and training as recommended
  • Coordinates with other team members to ensure that meaningful hourly rounding is completed.
  • Provides first class customer service to both internal and external customers and responds to inquiries, compliments, and/or complaints with professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency
  • Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities
  • Works in a collaborative and supportive manner to support the productivity and safety of the work area, team members and customers of all types
  • Maintains a clean, organized work area and ensures a safe environment

  • Punctual and consistent in meeting start time, work schedule, attendance and other assigned work time metrics
