Job summary

Chickasaw Nation Medical Center seeks a Clinical Informatics Coordinator to join the Clinical Informatics team in Ada, OK. The role focuses on coordinating clinical technology projects, collaborating with clinicians, and optimizing Epic and RPMS workflows in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's of Nursing is required.
  • RN licensure is required.
  • Completion of the Sphinx Assessment is required.
  • Epic module certification as assigned.

Description

Summary

Plans, coordinates, and monitors the analysis, design, implementation, evaluation, optimization, and maintenance of clinical technology and projects within their assigned area(s) and in partnership with clinicians.

Responsibilities
  • Performs in-depth analysis of current and future workflows, data collection, report details, and other technical issues associated with the current RPMS system or the future Epic system and designated third-party applications
  • Creates customer communication for system enhancements and fixes in partnership with Epic application analysts
  • Investigates standardization and process improvement opportunities by rounding within clinical areas while making build decisions
  • Identifies, implements, completes integrated testing, and communicates requested changes to the Epic system
  • Collects requirements regarding potential system enhancements or new system implementation and prepares details of specifications needed; prioritizes and implements requested changes to the system
  • Completes integrated testing to test system changes in all Epic environments to ensure that they meet business requirements and do not adversely impact other areas of the system
  • Stays current on Epic application releases and participates in upgrade planning and testing
  • Demonstrates understanding of and engages with the governance structure as it pertains to assigned work with little or no supervision
  • Utilize industry standard tools and methodologies to elicit business and user requirements
  • Provides specific training to internal or external employees
  • Assists with orientation, special activities and training on specific procedures, tasks or equipment
  • Partners with quality, operational, and business leaders on system design and optimization to meet quality, safety, financial, and efficiency needs
  • Provides first class customer service to both internal and external customers and responds to inquiries, compliments, and/or complaints with professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency
  • Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities
  • Works in a collaborative and supportive manner to support the productivity and safety of the work area, team members and customers of all types
  • Maintains a clean, organized work area and ensures a safe environment

  • Punctual and consistent in meeting start time, work schedule, attendance and other assigned work time metrics

Experience
  • 3 years directly related experience
Education

Essential:

  • Bachelor's of Nursing

Credentials

  • Registered Nurse
  • Completion of the Sphinx Assessment
  • Epic module certification as assigned
  • Pass general background check

Nonessential:

  • Nursing Informatics Board Certified
Working Conditions

  • Works in an office setting
