Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in the West Region seeks a Data Center Technician to maintain servers, diagnose hardware and network issues, and perform on-site repairs across multiple data centers in OR, NV, and AZ. The role requires flexibility and willingness to travel within the region.

The position includes on-call shifts, collaboration with engineers and vendors, and responsibilities to ensure high availability of AWS services and infrastructure across our data centers.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of computer/server hardware troubleshooting experience.
• 2+ years of computer layer 1/2 networking experience.
• Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform server rack installations and hardware repairs.
• Troubleshoot network issues and respond to incidents.
• Serve as primary contact for engineers, vendors, and contractors.
• Participate in on-call duties and change-management activities.
• Contribute to documentation and onboarding of new team members.
