Job summary

Arvato is seeking a Data Center Technician to support our newest data center services, delivering high-security transport, white-glove delivery, and technical support to hyperscale data center operators and SaaS providers.

You will install and maintain cabling, support server and network racks, and collaborate with planners and supervisors to ensure timely, safe operations. Travel may be required, and a background in data centers or logistics helps.

Qualifications

Valid driving license with a good driving record.
Ability to travel for business needs.
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams and email.
Prior experience in a data center, logistics or construction environment preferred.
Familiarity with networking terms and cabling infrastructure is preferred.

Responsibilities

Arrive at clients’ sites on time, with all required equipment, uniform, procedures, documentation, and PPE.
Cable server racks by patching and dressing fibre and copper cables (in certain regions, and training will be provided).
Provide industry-leading customer service levels by always acting professionally with clients and colleagues.
Follow clients’ procedures and requirements, including health and safety, and security.
Communicate with colleagues, including managers, planners, team leaders and supervisors, in a consistent, timely, and efficient manner. Reports include arrival times, delays, safety concerns, and completion times.
Complete daily checklists and providing reports on daily activities or tasks, including other general administration tasks.
