Lightning AI seeks an on-site Data Center Technician in Lisle, IL to support hardware in the data center, diagnose issues, and ensure proper rack, labeling, and cabling of new infrastructure. The role demands attention to detail and readiness for 24/7 operations with on-call responsibilities.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, coordinating with the HW Support team, and maintaining installation standards across data centers.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of data center experience and proficiency with critical infrastructure systems including power, cooling, monitoring, capacity planning, DCIM, cabling, and cable management.
• Experience setting up networking appliances (Ethernet and InfiniBand).
• Strong attention to detail in debugging, patching, and documenting changes.
• Ability to work in a 24/7 environment with on-call rotation and after-hours support.

Responsibilities

• Maintain data center hardware in the data center, including configuration, maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Diagnose and resolve system/compute/network issues to restore functionality.
• Rack, label, cabling, and configure new server, storage, and network infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot server hardware and software issues and ensure smooth deployments.
• Develop installation standards and documentation to drive consistency across data centers.
