Job summary

LightEdge Solutions is seeking a Data Center Operations Tier 1 Technician to monitor and manage building systems and infrastructure at our Lewisville, TX facilities. You’ll work with SOPs to maintain power, HVAC, biometric security, and fire suppression, ensuring compliance with codes and audits.

You’ll collaborate with vendors, install servers and networking equipment, respond to alarms, participate in on-call rotations, and help document racks, cabling, and changes.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or 1–4 years technical environment experience.
• Experience with Ethernet and fiber cabling termination.
• Maintenance activities in data centers.
• Familiarity with telco central office equipment/transport systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with data center equipment.
• Install servers and networking equipment into racks with cabling.
• Facilitate new client service installations with project managers.
• Receive and document incoming shipments.
• Respond to and resolve alarm events affecting infrastructure.
• Follow Change Control processes and review MOPs for changes.
• Assist in design, installation, and documentation of racks and cages.
• On-call rotation to support non-business hours and maintenance activities.
• Develop knowledge of LightEdge physical infrastructure and power/cooling/security systems.
• Work with clients to resolve cabinet/cage infrastructure issues and power utilization.
• Ensure uptime and best practices for 24x7 facilities.
• Share knowledge for team growth and cross-training.
• Other duties as assigned.
