Job summary

LightEdge Solutions seeks a Data Center Operations Tier 1 Technician to monitor and manage building systems and infrastructure at LightEdge facilities. You will follow SOPs and support power, cooling, biometric security, and fire systems, reporting to the Facilities Manager in Lewisville, TX.

Responsibilities include diagnosing problems with data center equipment, installing servers and networking gear, coordinating client service installations, responding to alarms, and joining the on-call

Qualifications

• Network cabling termination experience (Ethernet, CAT6, Fiber).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; strong computer hardware/software skills.
• Basic electrical knowledge and familiarity with electrical literature.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot data center equipment with vendors and LightEdge personnel.
• Install servers and networking gear into racks with cabling.
• Coordinate new client service installations with project managers.
• Receive and document shipments and respond to alarms affecting infrastructure.
• Follow Change Control processes and review MOPs for changes.
• Assist in design, layout and documentation of racks and cages.
• Support on-call rotation to cover non-business hours and perform routine maintenance.
• Maintain knowledge of LightEdge infrastructure, power, cooling, and security systems.
• Collaborate with clients to resolve cabinet/cage issues and power utilization.
• Ensure uptime and operational efficiency across 24x7 facilities.
• Share knowledge to train DC Ops and Support teams.
