Job summary

Google is seeking an Operations Technician to install, configure, test, troubleshoot and maintain data center hardware and server software. You will work on racks, networks, and complex components, contributing to scalable infrastructure.

The role involves physically demanding tasks and non-standard hours, with opportunities to lead small projects and collaborate across teams in a cutting-edge environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum: component-level repair & troubleshooting on technical equipment.
• Diagnose & troubleshoot OS, computer hardware and server hardware.
• Experience with networking protocols.
• Ability to lift/move 50lb and work physically over extended periods.
• Ability to work non-standard hours including nights, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and operate new data center infrastructure.
• Report issues and follow procedures to troubleshoot complex equipment or infrastructure.
• Maintain data security and integrity per Google standards.
• Disassemble equipment at end-of-life for part replacement.
• Repair and perform preventative maintenance on servers and infrastructure.
