Job summary

Google is seeking an Operations Technician for its Data Center team. You will install, configure, test, troubleshoot and maintain servers and hardware, and work on networks, routers, switches, and related protocols.

The role involves leading small projects, lifting heavy equipment, and contributing to a cutting-edge, highly reliable data center environment. This is an on-site role with dynamic day-to-day tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience with component-level repairs and troubleshooting.
• Experience diagnosing OS, server hardware, or networking protocols.
• Ability to lift 50 lb and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays, and shifts.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and operate data center infrastructure across projects.
• Troubleshoot issues with equipment and follow procedures to resolve them.
• Maintain data security and integrity per Google standards.
• Disassemble end-of-life equipment in a team setting.
• Repair and perform preventative maintenance on servers and infrastructure.
