Job summary

Ericsson is seeking a Data Center Services Technician to support installation, operation, and maintenance of data center infrastructure. You will perform rack-and-stack, cabling, equipment provisioning, testing, and field support while following Ericsson and customer standards.

Ideal candidates have 1+ years in data center ops, cabling, or IT infra, with knowledge of hardware, racks, power, and cabling practices.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in data center operations, structured cabling, telecommunications, field services, or IT infrastructure support.
• Working knowledge of data center hardware, racks, servers, networking equipment, power distribution systems, and structured cabling.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, installation documentation, and MOPs.
• Experience performing rack-and-stack, cabling, testing, and equipment installation activities with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to quality and safety.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with technicians, project teams, vendors, and customers while managing assigned work independently.

Responsibilities

• Independently install and deploy servers, network devices, storage equipment, and related infrastructure according to designs and installation docs.
• Install, route, terminate, and dress copper and fiber cabling with proper labeling and cable management.
• Install rack PDUs, connect equipment to power sources, and verify power connectivity.
• Perform equipment provisioning, hardware installation, and out-of-band management connections.
• Execute basic testing and validation, including continuity testing and fiber verification; perform MACD and FRU replacements.
• Maintain installation records, test results, inventory updates, and as-built docs.
• Identify and upscale design concerns, operational issues, and safety risks to seniors.
