Job summary

Ericsson Inc. is seeking a Data Center Services Technician to support the installation, operation and maintenance of infrastructure in hyperscale and enterprise data centers.

You will perform rack-and-stack tasks, cabling, equipment provisioning, testing, and field support with emphasis on safety and quality. The role requires a high school diploma or technical certification, 1+ year in data center or IT infrastructure roles, and the ability to interpret engineering drawings and MOPs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, technical certification, vocational training, or equivalent experience required.
• 1+ years of experience in data center operations, structured cabling, telecommunications, field services, or IT infrastructure support.
• Working knowledge of data center hardware, racks, servers, networking equipment, power distribution systems, and structured cabling.
• Understanding of copper and fiber cabling practices, basic optical networking concepts, and installation standards.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, installation documentation, and methods of procedure (MOPs).
• Experience performing rack-and-stack, cabling, testing, and equipment installation activities with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to quality and safety.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with technicians, project teams, vendors, and customers while managing assigned work independently.

Responsibilities

• Independently install and deploy servers, network devices, and storage.
• Install, route, terminate, and dress copper and fiber cabling with proper labeling and cable management.
• Install rack PDUs, connect equipment to power sources, and verify power connectivity.
• Provision equipment and perform out-of-band management connections.
• Execute basic testing and validation, including continuity testing and fiber verification.
• Perform moves, adds, changes, disconnects and FRU replacements per procedures.
• Maintain installation records, test results, inventory updates, and as-built documentation.
• Identify and escalate design concerns, operational issues, and safety risks to senior technicians or site leadership.
