Job summary

Digital Realty in the United States is seeking a Technician - II for our Remote Hands team in New York. You will provide hands-on data center support, including rack/stack, cabling, cross connects, and routine maintenance, while ensuring 100% uptime and adherence to SLAs.

You will collaborate with Deployment, Global Command Center, Provisioning, and Project Management to ensure timely installations and clear customer communications.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in telecom or data center fields.
• Understanding of telecom structured cabling standards.
• Understanding of network device deployment.
• Ability to communicate written and verbally; flexibility for on-call shifts.
• CompTIA A+ / Net+ certification preferred.
• General knowledge of electrical theory.

Responsibilities

• Perform Remote Hands services tracked via the ticketing system.
• Rack and stack equipment, cabling, cross connects and audits.
• Assist customers with hardware and software issue diagnosis.
• Power cycling of customer equipment and device migrations.
• Shipped/received packages and inventory verification.
• Maintain data center cleanliness and follow SOPs.
• Provide timely updates and work flexible shifts.
