Job summary

Apex Systems is seeking a Data Center Technician II to support network infrastructure in a large-scale, onsite data center in New Albany, OH. The role involves installing, labeling, and documenting equipment, plus performing replacements and moves in a mission-critical environment.

You will handle fiber and copper cabling, rack elevations, and port validation while following procedures and maintaining accurate records. Willingness to relocate to New Albany or travel for site work is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of hands-on hardware installation, rack-and-stack, cabling, asset handling, or technical field support.
• Experience with network hardware, structured cabling, low-voltage systems, or related technologies.
• Ability to follow documented procedures and maintain accurate asset records, tickets and work documentation.

Responsibilities

• Install, rack, stack, cable, label, and document network equipment including switches and routers.
• Perform hardware replacement and break/fix on network components.
• Install and test fiber optic and copper cabling, validate cabling diagrams and port maps.
• Update tickets, asset records and work orders; support inventory and change activity.
