Job summary

DataBank Holdings Ltd. is seeking a Data Center Technician I to join our Operations Team in McLean, VA. You will provide proactive end-user support via phone, email, and on-site, manage tickets, assist with circuit installations, and monitor critical systems to uphold DataBank's security standards.

The role emphasizes customer relations, adherence to cabling standards, and readiness of facilities, with opportunities to grow in a fast-paced data center environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0-4 years of experience or demonstrated ability to meet responsibilities.
• Familiarity with DS1, DS3, Ethernet and dark fiber circuits.
• Experience with data center infrastructure (generators, UPS, HVAC, DC plants).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain effective customer relationships and answer inquiries promptly.
• Assist with installs, testing, and close-out of new customer orders and hardware.
• Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure issues and escalate as needed.
• Perform security walkthroughs and enforce company security standards.
• Maintain accurate timesheets and inventory of tools and devices.
• Ensure facility cleanliness and tour readiness.
