Job summary

DataBank Holdings Ltd. is seeking a Data Center Technician II for our data-center operations in Ashburn, VA. The role focuses on proactive end-user support via phone, email, and onsite, with handling of trouble tickets and remote hands requests from inception to resolution.

You will install and test a variety of circuits, monitor critical systems, and ensure security standards are followed. Excellent communication and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Reliable transportation.
• Must lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Knowledge of Windows operating systems (PC and server).
• Familiarity with DS1, DS3, Ethernet and fiber circuits is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain effective customer relationships with customer satisfaction as the goal.
• Complete installation, testing and close-out of new customer orders and hardware.
• Monitor and resolve technical issues and alarms with DataBank Infrastructure.
• Perform security walkthroughs and admin of security sign-in procedures.
• Capture time invested on tasks and timesheets accurately.
• Maintain facility cleanliness and Tour Readiness at all times.
• Join the Market on-call rotation as needed.
• Assist with readings of equipment draw and customer audits.
• Adhere to DataBank Cabling Standards.
• Maintain inventory of tools, test equipment, and devices.
• Assist Vendor Maintenance activities within Data Center.
