Job summary

DataBank Holdings Ltd. seeks a Data Center Technician I to deliver proactive customer service across calls, emails, and in-person interactions while supporting the data center environment.

You will handle tickets from creation to resolution and assist with circuit installations and testing. As part of the Operations Team, you will monitor critical systems, follow security protocols, and help maintain inventory and documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0-4 years of data center experience preferred.
• Familiarity with DS1, DS3, Ethernet and dark fiber circuits.
• Experience with data center infrastructure such as generators, UPS, DC Plant, HVAC, Fire suppression systems; ability to read electrical diagrams.
• Customer service oriented with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain effective customer relationships with satisfaction as the goal.
• Assist with guidance on installs, testing and close out of new customer orders and equipment.
• Monitor and troubleshoot technical issues and alarms with DataBank infrastructure.
• Perform security walkthroughs and enforce company security standards.
• Log time and activities accurately in timesheets and incidents system.
• Maintain facility cleanliness and tour readiness; follow cabling standards.
• Help maintain inventory of tools, equipment and devices.
