Job summary

CoreSite is a leading colocation data center company providing space, power, cooling and connectivity for business operations. The Data Center Technician I role supports monitoring, security, and regulatory compliance while learning mechanical, electrical, and telecom systems in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.

You will assist daily operations on the day shift (Tuesday to Thursday, 6:00am-2:30pm) and contribute to incident response, reporting, and customer support.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or greater.
• 1+ years of experience in either customer service or security.
• Be able to pass an extensive background check, including criminal history, references, verifications, and DMV/credit checks.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to abnormal conditions in facilities systems.
• Follow management direction for day-to-day activities.
• Incident escalation and report writing.
• Provide physical security within CoreSite premises.
• Deliver day-to-day exceptional customer service and support.
• Prepare detailed reports and logs of daily activity.
• Conduct regular facility and security tours and address issues.
• Manage service requests to resolution.
• Notify customers and teams of alarms and breaches.
• Assist with loading dock operations.
• Promote CoreSite’s Operational Excellence and guiding principles.
• Support special projects as assigned.
