Job summary

CoreSite, LLC in Secaucus, NJ, is seeking a Critical Operations Engineer I to operate and maintain data center electrical, mechanical, cooling and life-safety systems, ensuring uptime and reliability. You will respond to alarms, document findings, and support continuous improvement in a mission-critical environment.

You will collaborate with senior technicians, vendors and customers, provide remote hands, manage tickets, and help maintain documentation across CMMS and monitoring platforms.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or greater.
• 2–5 years of experience in the data center industry.
• Proven hands-on experience with large electrical and mechanical systems.
• Military experience with HVAC or electrical training is a strong fit.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot mission-critical electrical, mechanical, and life safety systems to ensure uptime and reliability.
• Perform facility inspections, respond to abnormal conditions, and document findings.
• Track, trend, and analyze system performance using CMMS to manage work orders and maintenance.
• Support customer infrastructure projects and collaborate with senior technicians, contractors, and vendors.
• Provide advanced remote hands, manage trouble tickets, incidents, and customer requests.
