Job summary

CoreSite is seeking a Data Center Operations Technician I (Day) to support operational integrity, security, and regulatory compliance in a mission-critical data center. You will monitor mechanical, electrical, fire life safety, and security systems and assist in keeping customer services reliable.

The Day Shift is Tuesday to Thursday, 6:00am–2:30pm. You’ll perform routine tours, respond to incidents, generate detailed reports, and collaborate with teams to maintain safe, efficient operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or higher.
• 1+ year of customer service or security experience.
• Able to pass extensive background check including DMV and credit check.
• Experience in a mission critical facility is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to abnormal conditions in facilities systems (Mechanical, Electrical, Building Monitoring, Security, and Control).
• Follow management directions for day-to-day activities.
• Incident escalation and report writing.
• Provide physical security within CoreSite premises.
• Deliver day-to-day exceptional customer service and support.
• Prepare detailed reports and daily activity logs.
• Maintain regular facility and security tours and address issues.
• Manage building service requests through resolution.
• Notify customers and teams of alarms and security breaches.
• Assist with loading dock shipping and receiving.
• Contribute to avoiding unplanned outages.
• Complete work orders and tickets promptly.
• Adhere to CoreSite's principles and guidelines.
