Job summary

Milestone Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Technician to support installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of servers, networking gear, and cabling across our data center locations.

You will work with data center leads, manage inventory, learn server repair techniques, and assist with physical moves. The role requires a high school diploma, ability to lift 50 pounds, travel to centers, and a customer-focused, safety-conscious mindset.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Real ID or other federally accepted identification for U.S. travel.
• Minimum 1 year of general work experience.
• Basic knowledge of or hands‑on experience with computer hardware and repair.
• Ability to travel to supported data center locations.
• Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new software and tools.
• Strong professional communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Self‑motivated with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Ability to multi‑task and manage priorities with minimal supervision.
• Comfortable wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for extended periods.
• Ability to safely lift, push, pull, and move at least 50 pounds.
• Capable of walking long distances throughout the day.
• Willingness to work in environments that may include hot aisles and indoor areas reaching 90+ degrees Fahrenheit during certain times of the year.

Responsibilities

• Gain a solid understanding of the ticket management process and contribute to timely resolution.
• Learn and apply diagnostic methods to troubleshoot data center equipment effectively.
• Accurately pull and manage inventory in accordance with established documented processes.
• Ability to work cross functionally to maintain accurate inventory systems.
• Develop skills in server repair techniques, including replacing hard drives, RAM, motherboards, and other components.
• Assist with physical tasks, such as moving and racking equipment for special projects.

• Perform additional tasks as directed by management to support operational goals.
