Job summary

Milestone Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Technician II to manage installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of data center infrastructure on-site in Hillsboro, OR.

You will handle servers, storage, cabling, and related hardware, serving as escalation for Level I and ensuring high availability. Ideal candidates have 2–4 years in data center operations, strong hardware and networking knowledge, and the ability to follow procedures and documents meticulously.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in IT, CS, Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 2–4 years of data center operations or IT infrastructure experience.
• Experience with server hardware, storage systems, and networking equipment.
• Knowledge of data center best practices, rack layouts, and cable management.
• Experience replacing hardware components and diagnostics.
• Ability to read technical documentation and follow procedures.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, rack, stack, cable, label, and decommission servers and storage.
• Perform hardware break-fix and component replacements.
• Support infrastructure upgrades and planned maintenance.
• Monitor data center power, cooling, and rack space.
• Provide guidance to Level I technicians and collaborate with teams.
