Job summary

Milestone Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Hardware Technician L2 in Columbus, GA to support server deployment, break/fix, and infrastructure maintenance in a fast-paced data center. Expect to own moderately complex incidents and mentor junior technicians.

Role requires 3+ years in data center hardware, Linux troubleshooting, and strong communication skills. On-call rotation and onsite work are part of the schedule; relocation within commuting distance is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on computer or server hardware break‑fix experience in a data center environment.
• 3+ years of experience with Linux-based systems, including command-line troubleshooting.
• Intermediate knowledge of server architecture, component diagnostics, hardware replacement and cabling.
• Proficiency with ticketing systems and accurate technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Install, deploy, replace, and decommission server hardware and related data center equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware incidents and service requests within priorities and timelines.
• Document troubleshooting, parts used, and validation results in the ticketing system.
• Own moderate complexity tickets from diagnosis to resolution and handoff.
• Escalate and coach L1 technicians and contribute to knowledge base updates.
• Maintain asset/inventory records and coordinate with logistics for parts movement.
